2, 3 or 4 days: which desert tour should you choose?
- 2 days (Zagora) — the fastest way to experience a desert night from Marrakech. Smaller dunes, but perfect if you only have a weekend.
- 3 days (Merzouga) — the most popular choice. You see the high dunes of Erg Chebbi, ride camels at sunset and sleep in a desert camp, with stops at Ait Ben Haddou, Dades and Todra Gorge.
- 4+ days — a more relaxed pace, more time in the valleys, or finish in Fes instead of driving back to Marrakech.

What you will see on the way
The UNESCO-listed ksar of Ait Ben Haddou (a filming location for many films and series), Ouarzazate, the Valley of Roses, the Dades Gorges with its famous winding road, the 300-metre walls of the Todra Gorge, and finally the dunes of Merzouga, where a camel trek takes you to camp for sunset.
Desert camp options
Choose between a standard Berber camp (shared facilities, authentic atmosphere) and a luxury camp (private tent with real beds, private bathroom and hot shower). Dinner, breakfast, the camel ride and music around the fire are included in both.
